Frank drafts and prosecutes patent applications in computer hardware and software fields.
Prior to joining Colby Nipper as Counsel, Frank spent 20 years drafting and prosecuting patent applications with other firms. Prior to that, he was a lecturer at the University of Arkansas School of Law (working in President Bill Clinton’s very modest former office) teaching courses in intellectual property law, written advocacy, and other subjects. He began his legal career as a patent litigator and was on the trial team for the plaintiff in Markman v. Westview Instruments. Frank worked as a Systems Engineer for IBM prior to attending law school.
